꼬꼬면!!

so i got to try the world famous 꼬꼬면!! drum rolls please!

broth: 8/10

the broth was spectacular. i was just expecting simple chicken stock flavor (like chicken noodle soup stuff) and was skeptical of all that fuss, but was i wrong. the broth was 담백 and had a spicy punch at the end!! yum yum! i think adding a bit of spice made the world of difference... cuz 아무래도 라면은 매운 맛이조금있어야지 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 안그래 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그래야지 해장도되지!!!

noodles: 9/10

the broth was good but the noodles surprised me even more... can you tell from the picture?? the noodles were really chewy!! i am not sure if 꼬꼬면 noodles were meant to be chewier than regular ramen noodles or I just happened to time everything perfectly (i tend to usually overcook the noodles) ... lol... but 진짜 쫄깃쫄깃 하고 탱탱했어! the noodles had absorbed a good amount of flavor from the broth too without 불어, so every bite was joyful

i was too lazy to go all the way to 수서 e mart lol... so i went to 신세계 백화점!

i looked around to pick out shrimp for spicy shrimp salad!!

big daddy shrimps!!! 좀 징그럽다.. ㅋㅋㅋ

smaller shrimps!! still super big lol.... 큰거만 취급하는 신세게 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ i was looking for peeled shrimp! but i could not find it... so i changed my plan to make kimchee fried rice instead ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ bought 햇반, 맛김치, 치즈 and 김!!

i got tired while looking for peeled shrimp.. so i grabbed a cup of iced latte to perk me up! do you see the swirl of milk??? hehehe just the way i like it

after buying all the ingredients.. i walked to the area that holds special/seasonable items. i like checking out this area because they always have something new!! and usually they make the food on the spot so everything there looks fresh

the first item that caught my eyes is

꽈배기 with a hole inside???

i have never seen these before so i had to give it a try lol..

it was not bad, i liked the fact that it was crunchy and not that sweet. this is something you can eat tons of cuz you wont get sick of it! 어떤아줌마가 한빡스 사가지고 감 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

waffles in various flavors!! what intrigued me about these particular waffles was the way they were sliced. triangle shaped! i guess to imitate sandwiches?

other food in the area included freshly made 핫바 (you are probably thinking i had to have one !! Nope! i was tempted... especially the one with sausage but nope i refused .. ) , mini 부어빵 , 감자 and some other stuff

oh yeah i bought wine too!! south african sauvigon blanc ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ a tad bit too sweet for my taste but overall a big improvement from last week.... if i keep this up, ill get to try that perfect wine before i leave for america right? lol ill go for red next week!

one more thing to add.. i bought more 꼬꼬면.. today.. couldnt help myself..
