snowday!!

as we did not have school on this day, we decided to execute our 'originally sunday' brunch. shasuka and mimosas!

we squeezed our own orange juice(dan and sylvia had their orange juice squeezer..lol) and i brought my cumin seeds and cayenne pepper! hooray my spices are being put to good use. hoho.. 

we are crunching the cumin seeds. crunching? aha grinding!the smell was really good!!

we were supposed to mush the tomatoes with our hands. i took up on the job.
this is the bread dough, recipe from Mark Bittman, the minimalist's no knead bread! haha.
it rose! and rose! and now its about to go into the oven!
now we start stir frying the onions..
and now put in the spices and peppers!
보글보글... 맛잇어보이지! 보글보글.
우리 의 rustic looking bread! it looks amazing doesnt it??

shasuka! apparently its a israel dish. topped with parsley and feta cheese(val made)!

we are cutting the bread. it was a bit doughy, i think we should have let it rise a bit more...

and my mimosa! isnt it pretty :) the colors were so nice.




this is the cava we drank together! do you remember? 
we've never made brunch before..it was fun! i cant believe we were tipsy from morning..haven't done that in a long time. we mostly did it together lolll having brunch and all that. 

and we 밖의 눈을 감상했어... 이렇게 눈이 많이 올수 있다니...충격.... 그리구 우리는 일주일동안 전기가 없엇지...충격...더충격.. mayo에서 darkness속에서 살았지.
