yesterday morning i had half a banana and i tried the ricotta cheese savory style! with olive oil and salt and pepper! it was interesting..not exactly my favorite, but i think with more additions and crackers it would be good! :) and i bought honey as well...
honey +ricotta cheese+nuts?? yum..
and for lunch i had a salad and some granola! i m gonna stop eating granola now i think i munch on too much granola...hing...and i had two bites of chili corn bread. the corn bread was really good, moist and a little bit spicy.
after class i was biking back, and i saw the signs: Kendrick's Market 2-7pm! i saw this last week too and wanted to go but had promised to meet maddie and steph at black sheep so ...today, i decided to just ride my bike on the way back to mayo! 슝-
the market was really tiny, like only 7-10 stands? most of them selling fruit, seasonal veggies, and bread euphoria - the bread stand that always comes out on saturday's farmer's market! and sugar town? maple syrup specials.. and on .i was passing by the orchard stand and the lady gave me an apple and told me to try it! :DD
The baguette looked pretty yummy! i sneaked my hand in the basket and squeezed it and it had a decent crust! maybe ill buy one this Saturday and have it with the goat cheese! with our wine skype party! hohoho
and then there was the goat cheese stand! they had goat cheese truffles (um..remember?) but normal chevre, and also special marinated goat cheese! they were marinated with lavender, oregano, herbs and pepper mixed into it? it sounded so good! i remember the purple haze i tried in nyc, it was also with lavender and it was so yummy..
and i was thinking i could buy it next time, but the lady said this was their last week for this year since they are going to be busy buying and coordinating a new farm! omg!! this tells me i have to buy it!!!
the vegetables were really colorful. beautiful right? fall colors:)
and a cute little doggie. hoho.
curious about the menu! they have different menus every week.
and guess what i found...................on the way back.
right next to henion bakery! kinda lost its classy look tho. right?
but you can see it got way larger!and i think they brought the same posters as well. now it accomodates around 20 -30 people i guess?
and dinner was at boring val. i just picked at my fish and had a slice of cheese. and picked at the hummus... eww...
and steph and i tried to utilize our not-so-good chocolate stout leftovers, and decided to make the irish bomb! half shot of whisky and baileys dunked into pint of (originally guinness but we changed this part) beer!
we didnt have whisky so we decided to take a walk to russells and bought the mini cheap black velvet canadian whiskey. i actually bought another mini knob creek bourbon whiskey so i can make whisky tonic when i feel like it. : D
the irish bomb!!! it was not up to our expectations tho. i think it was the beer...so even bad beer cannot be masked by cocktails... ew..
we tried the stone smoked porter, shared it with larry and sara and had a small suite chat ( i guess larry and sara are speaking terms now?? it was so awkward for me when larry just knocked and walked in sara's room... it will get better i hope??) and then i went to sleep!!
today's another new day!
